Sr. Healthcare Data Analyst

Aleknagik Technology is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Sr. Healthcare Data Analyst for Program Management, Analysis, Consultation, Evaluation and Decision Support.

Duties:

• Ability to extract and analyze data from multiple Military Health System (MHS) information systems which may include MHS Data Repository (MDR) and MHS Management Analysis and Reporting Tool (M2), MHS GENESIS, and other reference data sources.
• Translate complex health care data into actionable insights that drive healthcare quality and efficiency.
• Perform data manipulations and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights.
• Critically analyze to ensure that data used in visualizations is accurate and represents the intended information.
• Data analyst plans, organizes and prioritizes assigned projects, creating and managing work plans that reflect the tasks, timeframes, and processes required for successful completion.
• Ability to interface with senior management, interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences.
• Experience in managing and analyzing large and complex data sets, including electronic health records (EHRs) and claims data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Analytics, Epidemiology, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in healthcare or government setting
• Strong knowledge of statistical and analytical tools and techniques, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, R or Phyton
• Strong experience with Microsoft office suite particularly Excel
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• US Citizen with active Secret Clearance
