The Hours
The Setup Technician typically works 5:00 am - 3:00 pm, although that can change slightly depending on the needs of the business. During our busy season we anticipate there being some Overtime available. Busy season typically runs from April-July but this can change subject to the needs of the business.
The Pay
The Setup Technician position pays $20.00/hour.
The Location
We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite.
Additional Job Details
- Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations. Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor.
- Follow 5S guidelines
- Clear all lines of obstacles and trash
- Expectations are to constantly be observing and promote changes, improvements and sustain.
- Support Production Supervisors with organization and evaluation of pack out layouts.
- Use pack out layouts to evaluate and complete pack out setups.
- Ensure all pack out machines are fully operational and complete TPM’s on the machines.
- Work with engineering to develop and implement setup guides, troubleshooting guides, and standard equipment practices and procedures.
- Evaluate upcoming scheduling to ensure future orders have line layouts created and approved. If needed work with engineering to get needed layouts completed.
- Support training with the production staff on basic machine adjustments to limit and reduce downtime on the lines.
- Will collect data, maintain metrics, monitor trends, report to supervision on the status and functionality of the pack out equipment on the floor.
- Will be responsible to communicate equipment issues to maintenance and supervision. Monitor critical spare parts, tools, and parts needed for day-to-day operations.
- Use of all hand tools
- Effective verbal & written communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork (must understand English language)
Education required
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Range of Experience
- Knowledge of production manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to understand layouts and process designs.
- Ability to use various machines and practical skills.
- Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork.
- Able to follow and execute instructions.
- Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert.
- Ability to use small tools and read rulers.
Preferred Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
