SUMMARY
General Duties : Responsible for reheating operation and employees in reheat zone. This will include but not limited to staffing, training, achieving efficiency standards, and ensuring a quality product is produced. Reheat Lead will work with the Assistant Supervisor to ensure training is achieved, shop orders are communicated, setup, completed, and the right tooling and fixtures are on line for the appropriate jobs. Will be required to collect and report on key production data as defined by the Manufacturing Supervisor. Will be responsible for 5S and continuous improvement activities on their respective lines and will provide support for department and site 5S and continuous improvement efforts. Performs the following duties. Oversee the operations at Reheat and coordinate with the Pour and Pack out Leads.
NOTE : This is a small work cell supervisory position. Employees will be required to work the line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations. Maintains individual work area / equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment / tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor.
- Ability to lead assigned employees across 1 or 2 production lines.
- Oversee quality of candle throughout assigned workstation(s).
- Conduct daily attendance in person and within ShopVue and report inaccuracies to Assistant Supervisor.
- Complete training and assist with evaluation of workers in Zone 2 providing feedback to the Pour and Pack Assistant Supervisors as needed.
- Ability to provide Assistant Supervisor and Process Technician with feedback over quality, mechanical, and personnel issues.
- Operating thermometer (hourly temps) and reheat station equipment.
- Ability to make temperature adjustments to ensure quality of candle is to specification.
- Ability to maintain Zone paperwork throughout shift.
- Ability to give direction to Zone 2 operators.
- Track First Pass Yield for candles that return to reheat for adjustment.
- Report all scrap on each shop order.
- Cut wicks if necessary.
- Use of hand tools : wick placement jig, hooks, pliers, poker, scissors, safety knife, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain individual work areas, keep area clear of trash and free of obstacles & report all unsafe working conditions.
- Perform all duties as directed by Assistant Supervisor.
- Knowledge of wax types & characteristics.
- Basic knowledge of belt operation.
- Ability to multitask.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee 1 or more groups of employees across multiple production lines.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Preferred : High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Preferred Microsoft office (0-1year)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move more than 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
