Responsibilities
The Proposal Analyst performs a variety of activities related to the day-to-day needs of the Client Services and Sales teams for proposal illustrations. This person works with the Sales and Operations teams for various illustration projects. This position must demonstrate good judgment, be very organized and be able to address all types of issues with decisiveness, speed and accuracy. In addition, this position must have a good understanding of Large and Small Group products and benefits, Self-Funded, Fully Insured and Level Funded concepts and other ancillary products. Responsibilities include
- Support the Client Services Team by providing an illustration for each group which includes current and renewal benefits and rates for all lines of coverage, and any carrier options to be presented to the client.
- Support the Sales Team by providing an illustration for each group which includes current and renewal (if applicable) benefits and rates for all lines of coverage, and any carrier options to be presented to the prospect.
- Mark sold plans as final and then work closely with each Client Managers and Assistant Client Managers on all the additional information to be included for the renewal and alternates, and how it is to be presented. This includes any customization on a case by case basis.
- Work closely with Client Managers to determine what information to include and present on the illustrations.
- Maintain the department’s Status reports, product files, folders and other pertinent documents making sure they stay current.
- Prepare the “Illustration Templates” and Plan Guides/carrier info folders and keep them current.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of experience in the employee benefits industry in an office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (with formulas), and Adobe Acrobat; PowerPoint and Publisher are a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new skills and tools.

Hourly range is $24 to $32 per hour.
