Responsibilities
- Data collection, quantitative and qualitative review
- Assist with and become proficient in the development, maintenance, and peer review of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, loss forecasting, and pro forma financial modeling
- Support the preparation of actuarial reports, presentations, and documentation
- Contribute to improvements in internal actuarial technical capabilities with the evolution of technology
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives
- Assist in the automation and improvement of existing processes and methodologies
- New business and proposal support
- Prepare deliverables and provide support for client meetings
- Assist with special projects and contribute as required
- Travel to Boston for at least one in-person meeting annually with other Spring staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Progress in being able to pass the required actuarial exams for Associateship in the SoA/CAS with at least two exams passed in the last two years
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of responsiveness and dependability
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proven research capability and technical writing skills
