Kaercher Insurance, an Alera Group company, is looking for a Small Business Unit Executive. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.
Responsibilities:- Assist employees with benefit-related questions, ID cards, and claim/billing issue resolution.
- Educate clients on using carrier portals for payments, ID cards, and provider searches.
- Support new business and renewals, including proposals, quotes, policy submissions, and virtual presentations.
- Maintain accurate records, update account management systems, and track renewals efficiently.
- Work with insurance carriers on renewals, contract changes, and COBRA administration for AHP groups.
- Keep Health & Life license up to date and conduct virtual open enrollment meetings as needed.
- Uphold department values: honor commitments, stay organized, be thorough, helpful, and prompt.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- HR or employee benefits experience and office experience required.
- Life & Health insurance license required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized with a helpful attitude.
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.
