As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you’ll play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through advanced imaging and therapy techniques. Your responsibilities will include :
Patient Care & Education : Educating patients on procedures and ensuring they are comfortable and informed, positioning patients, and performing nuclear medicine imaging procedures tailored to each patient’s needs.
Imaging Expertise : Applying proper imaging techniques to obtain diagnostic-quality images and addressing any quality issues by adjusting or repeating procedures as necessary.
Radiopharmaceutical Handling : Preparing, administering, storing, and disposing of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Monitoring & Reporting : Continuously monitoring patients during imaging procedures and responding to any changes in their condition, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of scan results.
Inventory & Equipment Maintenance : Maintaining adequate inventory levels of necessary supplies and ensuring all equipment is in working order.
What We’re Looking For :
Required Qualifications :
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Nuclear Medicine (NM) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
NYS License
BLS (American Heart Association)
At least 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Preferred Experience :
CT certification and experience with PE / CT
