Job Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions associated with Criminal Defense.
- Assist with organizing discovery materials and ensuring all documentation is filed accurately and on time.
- Assist with scheduling court hearings, depositions, conferences, and trial preparation.
- Assist by communicating with clients and prospective clients when needed.
- Work closely in a team environment and provide updates while building knowledge of Firm and client processes.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a Criminal Defense caseload in Florida. (REQUIRED)
- Be Fluent in Spanish. (REQUIRED)
- Self-motivated, Self-starter.
- Strong Organizational Skills.
- Strong Writing Skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high volume caseload while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Be comfortable with "paperless" procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues head attorney.
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
