Warehouse Receiving Associate

Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Receiving Specialist is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming inventory and materials. This role ensures that all shipments are accurate, properly documented, and stored efficiently to maintain smooth warehouse operations.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.

· Unload, sort, and organize deliveries in designated warehouse locations.

· Maintain accurate records of received goods, including quantity, quality, and condition.

· Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to the purchasing department for resolution.

· Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory.

· Ensure proper labeling and storage of received items.

· Assist with inventory management, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area.

· Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols.

· Collaborate with other warehouse team members to support overall warehouse efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Prior warehouse experience required.

· Forklift and hand truck certified or willing to become certified.

· Advanced math and computer skills with prior experience with Inventory Management Software required.

· Familiarity with inventory management processes such as 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.

· Solid knowledge of logistics and receiving procedures.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and vendors.

· Well organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years total experience in a manufacturing or distribution warehouse or other related warehouse environment with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
