We are seeking a Linux Admin with a Cyber background to support a cloud-based SOC for army production facilities and operational technology products.
Hybrid working schedule: (The office is off post, not at Redstone Arsenal)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, install, and maintain technologies in support of Operational Technology (OT) network monitoring infrastructure
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, Debian, etc.) and VMware infrastructure consistent with industry best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux servers and VMware systems
- Analyze and configure Linux, ESXi, and network TAPs for compliance with DISA STIGs
- Accessing/identifying engineering requirements to support SOCaaS site installations
- Lead efforts to guarantee best industry/engineering practices are followed during assessments and installs
- Install enterprise servers and network TAPs at customer sites
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship is required by federal law
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance required
- 10 years of years of experience preferred
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II such as CompTIA Security (CE)
- Strong experience in administering and troubleshooting Red Hat Linux and VMware in a DISA
- STIG compliant environment
- Experience with scripting such as Bash, Python, Perl
- Ability to define a computer HW/SW build spec from a use case or problem/capability definition
- Moderate Windows experience (Implementation and maintenance)
- Moderate Hypervisor experience, prefer ESXi and/or KVM (Implementation and maintenance)
- Knowledge of network TAPs and their implementation
- Ability to travel to customer sites in support of equipment installation
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and incident response
- Ability to work independently with clients to coordinate and gather any pertinent information required to access site requirement and install SOCaaS hardware
- Ability to produce high quality documentation
