Aleut Federal is seeking a Mobile Device Specialist/Technician to serve as the primary point of contact for our customer. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional IT customer service while offering expert assistance with mobile device management. This role requires a high level of professionalism and will involve training other members to maintain mobile devices according to established standards. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for managing mobile device assets using the configuration manager tool to ensure efficient tracking and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and training to end users on the proper use of smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Manage and maintain mobile device inventory, ensuring accurate cataloging of all devices, applying appropriate asset tags, and tracking assigned users.
- Deliver first-level support for all mobile devices, handling help desk requests via phone, email, or ServiceNow tickets.
- Install applications and configure security settings on smartphones, tablets, and WINDARs.
- Provide mobile device support, including Blackberry Unified Endpoint Management (BUEM) or any other device management system selected by our customer.
- Troubleshoot mobile devices and quickly identify issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Configure, activate, and distribute mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) efficiently.
- Resolve mobile device issues promptly, ensuring proper documentation of resolutions within the ServiceNow Platform.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software to support mobile device operations.
- Run diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize the ServiceNow platform for managing and tracking help desk tickets, ensuring detailed notes are maintained.
- Deploy IT equipment in NIPR/SIPR/JWICS environments as required.
- Image and configure Standard Desktop Configurations on desktop and laptop PCs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to prioritize tasks and address high-priority client initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with external groups, such as government entities and base communications, to achieve client objectives.
- Adhere to agreed-upon Service Level Frameworks, escalating tickets as necessary.
- Assist the Information Technology Custodian (ITEC) with IT inventory management.
- Attend monthly training by HQ CCC as the customer Mobility Rep and provide updates to leadership.
- Build and maintain mobile device Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) in accordance with DoD and customer policies.
- Occasional after-hours work may be necessary for troubleshooting, system updates, or high-priority tasks.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance and be SCI eligible.
- Must hold a CompTIA Security (or equivalent) certification.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree may be considered towards experience).
- Position may require lifting and moving IT equipment such as laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, involving moderate physical activity. Regular tasks, including setup and configuration of devices, may necessitate standing, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ITIL Certification.
- Military and/or government experience.
- Experience with inventory or database management is preferred, including the ability to manage and track assets effectively.
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience with BUEM or Jamf
Locations: This position is expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs area.
Rate: $70K - $80K
