POSITION SUMMARY As a Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the real-time management of operational SATCOM networks, mitigating risks and ensuring mission success under time-sensitive conditions. Your role will involve assessing and prioritizing missions and user needs, ensuring the delivery of secure, space-enabled communications capabilities to polar users in support of national objectives. You will provide vital support for telemetry and control, mission planning, and cryptographic planning for the EPS payload. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate and maintain two system types with consistent accuracy.
- Assist and lead troubleshooting efforts for operational systems, collaborating with customers, depot personnel, and CAPS as necessary.
- Recommend procedural and training updates for EPS-R operations.
- Execute mission schedules and provide high-level support to users.
- Conduct cryptologic planning as a COMSEC user and, when necessary, as a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO).
- Monitor payload performance and provide status updates using established procedures to account for outages and system health.
- Support the Director of Operations (DO) with contract documentation deliverables.
- Develop procedures, conduct data analysis, and support operational and non-operational equipment activities.
- Participate in system engineering assessments for new program requirements.
- Continuously develop within the assigned Functional Area Monitoring (FAM) structure, such as Safety, PMEL, TMDE, Security, Operations, and COMSEC.
