JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an exceptional Full Stack Developer to join our IT team, who possesses expertise in both front-end and back-end development, effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a genuine passion for emerging web technologies. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites from layout to functionality according to the Corporation’s standards. The Full Stack Developer will work closely with communications and marketing professionals, IT Support Specialists, and leadership team members to deliver high-quality, innovative web solutions that bolster our online presence and align with business objectives. This role will manage a suite of websites under the Aleut name and spearhead extensive design overhauls and platform migrations. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering superior digital experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable web applications and websites.
- Design, implement, and test user interfaces, web pages, and web-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements.
- Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, mobile optimization and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Develop and maintain web content management systems (CMS).
- Perform regular website updates and maintenance to include plugins, themes, and core website software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our web solutions are current and competitive.
- Managing Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and tracking pixels.
- Integrate marketing tools into websites (CRM, email marketing, automation tools).
- Implement or assist with technical SEO improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry best practices for cyber security.
- Creating internal IT policies related to security and website use.
- Maintain detailed documentation of code, processes, and system architecture to support team collaboration and future scalability.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio of previous web development projects.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python).
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and third-party integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing both front-end and back-end projects.
