Summary/Objective
The Store Manager is responsible for meeting store sales and profitability goals, managing all store operations and staffing activities, including opening and closing the store, and ensuring compliance with operations and company policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Meet or exceed store sales goals
Keep abreast of new product knowledge to train staff and assist customers
Effectively hire, onboard, train and develop high performing team
Conduct annual performance reviews, and provide continuous feedback to staff
Operate cash registers, manage financial transactions, and balance drawers
Ensure team is providing exceptional customer experience at all times
Ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and in alignment with company policy
Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards
Ensure accountability to operational and company policies.
Partner with HR for support hiring, onboarding, coaching and disciplining employees as needed
Consistently uphold a neat, clean and organized store and stockroom
Maintain compliance with retail operations and company Policy and Procedures
Participate in and lead store opening and closing procedures
Manage merchandise processing, including tracking of company assets through inventory control
Manage staffing levels and adhere to scheduling guidelines to properly service our customers
Oversees the protection of all company assets, controlling internal and external loss
Other duties as assigned
Travel
This position requires limited travel (0-25%)
Qualifications and Requirements
High School diploma
5 years Retail Sales experience; 2 years retail store management experience
Demonstrated selling skills
Proven ability to hire, train, develop and retain high performing team
Ability to work 5, 8 hour shifts per week including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business
Must work a minimum of two closing shifts per week
Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills
Must be reliable and maintain a satisfactory attendance record
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with Applicant tracking and scheduling software a plus
