Support warehouse operations by enhancing leadership tools and driving improvements in safety, quality, engagement, training, and performance.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Gain a foundational understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Work closely with warehouse supervisors and managers to document and improve current performance tracking methods.
- Assist in analyzing key operational metrics such as productivity, safety, and quality.
- Help streamline and standardize reporting processes across various warehouse functions.
- Contribute to the development of training materials that support data-driven decision-making among warehouse leadership.
- Analyze warehouse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment.
Skills Intern Will Learn:
- In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Experience in analyzing and reporting on warehouse operational performance.
