What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist position at Alex Partners?
A leading International Private Equity Fund is currently hiring an M&A Specialist, based in their Boston office.
This a newly created role due to the growth of the Fund. Reporting to a Partner, you will focus on supporting the M&A Partners in the team to coordinate the definition and implementation of the M&A strategy of selected portfolio companies.
Key aspects to the role:
- Support on deal sourcing for your allocated portfolio companies. This includes target identification, target qualification and target evaluation
- Actively supporting the building and testing of the investment thesis
- Organise the execution of M&A opportunities. This includes coordinating teams, monitoring and evaluation of information received, supporting all due diligence efforts and take responsibility for specific workstreams, supporting in the investment assessment including modeling the impact of the transaction and building the synergy case
- Support the Capital Markets team to arrange the financing
- Participate and actively contribute to M&A strategy discussions
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Significant M&A execution experience working in Private Equity, Tier-1 Investment Banking (both M&A team or Industry Team), Elite Mid-Market or Specialist Boutique bank, or Big 4 Corporate Finance practice
- Around 3-5 years of successful M&A experience in a Tech or Healthcare role
- Ability to execute M&A deals and lead key workstreams
- Undergraduate degree from a top business school, engineering school or university
- Fluent in English and ideally fluent in another European language
