Piano Teacher Needed for In-Person Lessons Starting September 2025
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated piano teacher to provide in-home, in-person, lessons in Union and Essex Counties, NJ, starting in September 2025. Our clients are located in various towns, from Cranford/Springfield/Union to South Orange/Maplewood/West Orange.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old
- Available to teach at least two days per week.
- At least one of those days should be during after-school hours, as that is when demand is highest.
- Comfortable traveling to students' homes for lessons.
- Must have a reliable car, as commutes between students are anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes.
- Experience teaching children as young as 5 years old (the majority of students are between 5-10 years old).
- Ability to teach lessons in students’ homes.
- Bonus if you can teach beginner-level voice lessons (not required)
- Bonus if you can teach up to an advanced piano level (not required)
- Available during the 2025-2026 school year
Additional Information:
- The initial interview will be conducted via video call.
- Most of our clients are mothers who prefer working with F E M A L E private instructors.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging, personalized piano lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and skill level. Be willing and flexible enough to get creative with them!
- Foster a positive and creative learning environment that encourages self-expression.
- Provide constructive feedback to both students and parents to monitor progress.
- Potentially organize performance opportunities to showcase students' achievements.
- Maintain regular communication with parents about student development and lesson updates.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
