JOB SUMMARY
Under direction of the Principal, assists with administering and supervising the total school program and providing educational leadership for the students and staff members consistent with the educational goals of the Bibb County School District. Functions include establishing a climate conducive to learning, planning, and coordinating programs, effecting change, and decision-making.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supports development of the principal’s school-wide vision and takes an active role in investing and mobilizing teachers to achieve the collective goals of the school; owns the implementation of school priorities in support of the school-wide vision.
- Provides leadership and coordination in the regular instructional program.
- Works with the principal to establish goals that are applicable to the total school program; monitors and studies the program and operation of the school to check progress made toward established goals.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining effective learning goals.
- Works with the principal and teachers to plan a program of study to meet individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
- Enforces guidelines and rules for student behavior and conduct established in the Code of Conduct.
- Assist the principal in supervising the school’s instructional process; schedules classroom visits and conducts observations as necessary; examines and monitors student records as required.
- Help with planning, organizing and implementing school programs and activities;
- Coordinates the study and selection of materials, media, equipment, instructional strategies and programs that may have merit for the school program.
- Helps in establishing and maintaining positive school-community relationships;
- Observes and evaluates school personnel as required or assigned.
- Serves as the person in charge when the principal is away from the building.
- Supports the principal in identifying and developing emerging and teacher leaders through goal setting, coaching and providing feedback.
- Cultivates own growth, sustainability and success through active participation in district-wide professional development and by seeking out high-impact growth opportunities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or District staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree is required. Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable, successful experience as a teacher, instructional coach or similar role.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC.
- GaPSC certification in Educational Leadership – Tier I at L-5 or higher or be eligible for a non-renewable Educational Leadership while completing Educational Leadership.
- Possess or be willing to obtain Online Teaching Endorsement
Salary/Terms/Benefits:
- 200 day work year.
- Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Adopted Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).
