Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-2 AS Teacher to join our team at Alexander K. McClure School. This role is vital in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for our students, where every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Create a positive classroom environment that fosters learning and encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Support students with disabilities and provide early intervention strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to build strong relationships within the school community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in diverse settings.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
