We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to join our team at Alexander K. McClure School. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating an engaging and supportive environment for our diverse student population.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement.
- Create a positive classroom environment that fosters respect, inclusivity, and collaboration among students.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and learning technologies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community members to enhance educational opportunities for all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and literacy/math education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with learning technologies that enhance student learning experiences.
