Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Event Chef located in Kennett Square, PA. The Event Chef will be responsible for creating customized menus, preparing and cooking meals for events, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Additional tasks include coordinating with clients and event planners, managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and kitchen equipment, and adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. The Event Chef will also oversee meal service from setup to cleanup, providing exceptional culinary experiences for all event attendees.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Experience in event catering and working with large groups
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and coordinate with clients and event planners
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a chef in catering or hospitality industry is preferred
