We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Meat/Seafood Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our meat and seafood department. You will assist customers with their selections, maintain product displays, and uphold cleanliness in the work area. Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their meat and seafood selections.
• Maintain product displays, ensuring they are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Perform meat cutting and preparation tasks using appropriate techniques and tools, including knives.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the freshness and quality of products.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department.
• Stay informed about various cuts of meat, seafood types, cooking methods, and culinary techniques to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Culinary skills or experience in food production is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Proficiency in meat cutting techniques is desirable; training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed and stand for extended periods.
• A passion for food and commitment to providing quality service is essential.

Pay: $9.00 - $17.00 per hour
