The Alexander Technology Group is looking for a personable, reliable, and hands-on IT Support Engineer to join a tight-knit team supporting small to mid-sized clients in industries like healthcare, legal, and finance.
This isn’t a high-level systems role—it’s a step above help desk, ideal for someone who thrives on solving hardware and network issues, enjoys working directly with end users, and knows their way around Windows IT environments.
Must have a car and be comfortable traveling in the greater Boston area.

🔧 What You’ll Do
Perform hardware maintenance, replacements, and imaging (Windows 11 rollouts by October)
Set up users on domains, manage user accounts, and support AD/Exchange environments
Provide firewall and basic network integration support
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and network connectivity issues on-site and remotely
Support Office 365 environments and assist with basic server support (on-prem)
Work closely with a team of 3 other IT Support Engineers
Visit client sites regularly (mostly planned visits)
💡 What We’re Looking For
2 years of IT support experience in an MSP environment (this is a must)
Strong communication and people skills—you’ll be client-facing often
Comfortable With
Windows IT support
Active Directory and user setup
Office 365 and Exchange
Windows Server basics (we outsource deep server engineering)
Virtual networks and remote access tools
Prior experience with Windows deployments and imaging (Windows 11 is coming)
Azure knowledge is a plus, though cloud presence is minimal
Reliable transportation for occasional client site visits
⚙️ Nice To Have
Experience supporting environments like doctors’ offices, law firms, or accounting firms
Familiarity with basic firewall setups and troubleshooting
A genuine interest in tech and learning new systems—we want curious minds!
