What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support position at Alexander Technology Group?
The Alexander Technology Group is looking for a mid-level IT professional needed to perform Helpdesk and Desktop Support work for growing industry leader in Lynn, MA. The ideal candidate act as a main escalation point for technical support of all employees for hardware and software related problems including, but not limited to desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, email, and networking. The Help Desk technician will clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. Provide one-on-one end-user training as needed. Troubleshoot and isolate technical issues and, when necessary, pass more complex issues on to Application or Infrastructure Administrators. Conduct hardware and software installs, workstation, and server patching, provide end-user training, maintain knowledge base articles, and perform other related IT work, as required.
3 years of prior IT experience
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
bilingual english/spanish preferred

Responsibilities For Help Desk Technician Will Include The Following
- Phone, Desktop, and mobile device set up and troubleshooting.
- Point of contact for vendors and third-party support personnel.
- Desktop, laptop and equipment procurement.
- Provides on call after hours support, and remote assistance for remote sales team users.
- System Maintenance
- Performs routine maintenance on workstations including service packs, security patches, and software updates.
- Installs and approves updates to various software applications for users.
- Assists with Printer issues and installations.
- Active Directory, ERP and Office 365 email maintenance
- Setups and maintains users access, passwords and security in all systems.
- Assists with onboarding and training of new users.
