Technical Documentation Specialist - SQL

Our Rowley, MA client is seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist (SQL) to join their team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise and excellent documentation skills.

Position Summary

As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation of database stored procedures and other technical systems. This role requires both technical understanding and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Document stored procedures, including their functionality, parameters, and business logic.
• Analyze and understand SQL code to accurately document how stored procedures work.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database systems.
• Handle ad-hoc technical documentation projects as needed.
• Work independently and also collaborate with database developers and other technical staff.
• Contribute to documentation standards and best practices.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of stored procedures and database structures.
• Excellent technical writing abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience creating clear, user-friendly technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to work on-site in Rowley, MA one day per week.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with specific database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc).
• Knowledge of documentation tools and methodologies.
• Experience in software development, database administration, or related technical fields.
