What You'll Do:
The Lead Crisis Care Professional provides therapeutic support to youth ages 11 to 17 in a youth crisis setting. Provides in-ratio leadership of the youth shelter. You will provide in-ratio Leadership on 2nd shift. Process crisis referrals and intakes. Serve as a resident advocate, providing referrals, facilitating individual and group sessions and case management. Plan and facilitate recreational/psycho-education groups, activities, and outings. Manage a monthly recreation/food budget and submit expenses weekly. Attend weekly team meetings. Participate in monthly on-call rotation. Lastly, this position is a key leadership role on the team. Requires a leader who is self-directed and comfortable with crisis management.
Schedule: Sunday 16 hours (7:00 am - 11:00 pm)
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- B.A. or B.S. in a related human services or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Six months experience in human services is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
