What You'll Do
The Peer Support-Crisis Care Professional will work on site at the Youth Focus Program, Act Together Crisis Care and must demonstrate the Agency’s purpose, philosophy, policies and procedures. The Peer Support- Crisis Care Professional works as a team member and oversees the day-to-day activities and needs of the clients in their care. They provide supports such as mentoring, skill-building, working with youth to build their natural support systems, etc.
Schedule: Weekends

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Lived experience both as someone who experienced homelessness, received mental health treatment, and successfully maintained permanent safe and stable housing.
- Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma and one to two years’ experience and/or training
- Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must have a Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
