Summary: alexanderwang is searching for a highly collaborative, adaptive, and detail-oriented individual to support the Chief Marketing Officer & Marketing team on social media and VIP/ influencer relations. The Communications & Social Media Specialist will collaborate on implementation of strategic plans, while working with various stakeholders to deploy campaigns on social media and foster relationships with our VIP/ influencer community. You will be the bridge between the brand and our audience, ensuring that our community feels connected, engaged, and valued. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for fashion and social media. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, willing to accept a challenge, understand creative nuances per platform, and have a passion for social media and influencer marketing. This role will report directly into the VP, Communications & Retail Marketing, with a matrix to the Director, VIP.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Social Media
- Actively engage with our online community across various platforms. Maintain social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Red, WeChat, etc.
- Organize social calendars week to week and administer posting
- Primary Platforms: Instagram Instagram Stories and TikTok
- Secondary Platforms: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest.
- Primary APAC Social: Weibo, WeChat, Redbook and Douyin.
- Social Management / Scheduling Tool: Sprout Social
- Monitor trends, conversations, and feedback within the fashion and lifestyle space to identify opportunities for brand growth and improvement.
- Conduct regular social media analytics and reporting to measure performance and inform future content and engagement strategies
- Reporting: Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytics tools: Sprout Social and Lefty
- Working knowledge of Primary social platforms (both APAC and ROW) and best practices of the day
- Weekly touch point with VP, Retail and comms to share calendar, reports, relevant market ‘news’ (by industry) and additional ideas
- Keep on the pulse of social media to feed trends by platform, and timely content ideas for the marketing team to live-capture trends & momentum.
- Practice continuous improvement of our social media presence and knowledge on trending social media platforms
VIP/ Influencer support
- Support Dir, VIP in executing the global influencer strategy with organic and paid ambassadors, ranging from micro/ macro influencers, KOC and KOL.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and key community members to promote organic brand awareness.
- Own all influencer outreach.
- Track gifting orders according to seasonal strategy.
- Make sure that product gifting orders are strategically sent out prior to launches to ensure demand.
- Actively keep a pulse on emerging influencers and trends through various social media channels such as Instagram and Tiktok.
- Track EMV, impressions and CVR to determine ROI on all gifting opportunities.
Position Skills:
- 2 years experience in social media/ influencer — fashion preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant fashion/social media experience Proficient in Instagram and TikTok Posting tools
- Proficient in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube
- Nice to have: working knowledge in Weibo, WeChat, Redbook and douyin
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)
- Knowledge of analytics tools such as Sprout Social and Lefty
- Ability to recognize and join relevant conversations surrounding pop culture and social media trends
- Knowledge of the alexander wang brand lifestyle and history

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $70,000 to $75,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
