B Shift : (Mon-Wed 6 : 30PM - 6 : 30AM, Thur 6 : 30PM - 12 : 30A) $2.25 Shift DifferentialPOSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for producing aluminum extruded shapes that meet customer specifications : operating saws, moving material, operating an extrusion press, packing material, moving dies, participating in 5S initiatives, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
• Ensure all business system transactions (production, inventory, etc.) are accurate and timely
• Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements
• Support the company’s key corporate values, objectives and strategies
• Cross-train in as many functions in the department as possible
• Understand and verify manufacturing orders in order to identify internal and customer specifications
• Conduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department key measures
• Ensure all quality practices are being followed accurately and efficiently
• Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
• Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent degree

3 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
