POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Alexandria Industries Automation team with process improvement initiatives and special projects in order to further develop automation engineering knowledge and skills and to gain hands on experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
- Assist in the design and assembly of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and
- Work with production departments to develop, improve and maintain manufacturing
- Assist with automation maintenance, troubleshooting, and
- Assist in the design of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
- Interpret blueprints and schematics in order to properly assemble automated
- Assistance with automated manufacturing equipment: panel building, wiring, programming and plumbing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent degree
- Currently enrolled in an electrical, mechatronics, or similar technical engineering program at a college or university is preferred but not required
- Completion of college level basic computer programming classes is preferred but not required
- Experience:
- Previous internship or working experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not
