We're seeking Software Engineers (Mid to Senior levels) to support a Marine Corps acquisition program in Stafford VA. This role involves software development and evaluation within systems that combine hardware, software, and cyber considerations across the full acquisition lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate Software Version Descriptions (SVDs)
- Support software requirements within system-level (SW/HW) specifications
- Review OEM-submitted CDRLs and software documentation
- Participate in IPTs and contribute to technical discussions and reviews
- Analyze software integration, interoperability, and cybersecurity impacts
- Create and maintain technical documents: ICDs, development plans, test procedures
- Apply secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities (STIGs, RMF)
- Support planning for cloud-hosted solutions, with awareness of DoD Cloud Impact Levels (IL2–IL5)
- Assist in test event planning, execution, and reporting
- Bachelor's in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Mid-Level: 5–9 years | Senior-Level: 10 years
- Experience with software development, lifecycle documentation, and defense acquisition
- Familiarity with SVDs, CDRLs, and systems that integrate hardware and software
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks and Cloud IL requirements
- Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, MS Office
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Experience with C2 systems, tactical networks, or expeditionary platforms
- Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps in defense settings
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
