Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Body Assembler to join our team. As a Truck Body Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and installing components on truck bodies, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted and secured according to safety standards and quality specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install components and parts of truck bodies, including frames, panels, doors, compartment trays, and other body parts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to assemble truck bodies.
- Inspect and verify parts and materials to ensure accuracy and quality before and after assembly.
- Follow blueprints, work orders, and safety instructions to complete assembly tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all assembled products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues that arise during production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in truck body assembly or a related field is a plus.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- This is an indoor job with a heated shop during the winter but you must be comfortable working occasionally outside for short periods of time.
