Job Description
System technicians provide television production and post-production support to the Secretary of
Energy and designated senior officials at DOE / HQ and at offsite locations as directed by the
Office of Administration. These videographer / editors operate a wide array of television
production and post-production equipment and are proficient in the use of applicable
professional software as directed for use by the DOE / HQ Office of Administration. They provide
technical research for the recommendation of new equipment, software and supplies which are
related to television production activity as directed by the Office of Administration. They
interface directly with DOE / HQ clients who provide input to the editorial process.
EXPERIENCE :
Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years of equivalent
experience in broadcast, video production and in-house cable broadcast systems
Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized and able to take initiative to resolve
problems and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to plan, organize and implement to ensure the successful completion of a project
by a specific due date
an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Cut Pro Studio and Adobe Creative Suite), Illustrator, and InDesign.

file size, optimization for different screens (e.g., monitor vs. television), and using video
