You are an experienced Dental Hygiene Assistant who is passionate about patient education and preventive care. What You Will Do
Assist hygienist in patient care and education
Manage hygiene schedule and hygienist’s time
Greet and seat hygiene patients in a timely manner
Obtain X-rays (FMX, BW, PA, Pano) with Open Dental software
Obtain intra- and extra-oral photographs
Obtain and record vitals and medical history
Chart existing dental work and input Treatment Plans into Open Dental software
Obtain informed consent, give post-operative instructions, and provide patient education
Call patients for recall
Record clinical notes, timely and accurately
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
Set-up and breakdown dental operatories
Prepare for the following day by leaving an office that is clean and ready
Your Skills and Experience:
Proficient with obtaining radiographs
Must be able to describe hygiene procedures
Experience with digital radiography. Dexis experience preferred.
Proficient with practice management computer software (charting, treatment planning etc.). Open Dental experience preferred..
Gentle and empathetic chair-side manners
Team player and a good communicator

Required Credentials:
FL Radiology Certification (eligible for FL radiology certification)
High School Diploma or equivalent
EFDA Certification
