Job Summary
The Front of House Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front-of-house staff in a hospitality setting. This position ensures exceptional customer service, efficient food production, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with experience in restaurant and hotel environments.
Duties
- Lead and manage front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Train new employees on customer service protocols, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively to maintain a positive dining experience.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow during peak hours.
- Collaborate with the banquet team to plan and execute special events and functions.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies related to front-of-house operations and place orders as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer service role within the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurants or hotels.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software is preferred.
