POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from Camp Tracy and the Alfond Youth Community Center. This includes safely driving the bus, adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times, and maintaining a secure environment for all passengers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Transport children to and from off-site activities.
- Communicate any maintenance issues with the Camp Director.
- Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained (filled with gas, windows and upholstery cleaned, etc.)
- Responsible for maintaining order while the vehicle is on the road as well as loading and unloading children.
- Ability to observe children’s behavior and assess its appropriateness, enforce relevant safety regulations or emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Maintains safety, cleanliness, and discipline of children, area, and equipment.
- Children are transported safely at all times.
WORK SCEHDULE:
June-August.
Weekdays (mornings and afternoons) around 25 hours per week.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Excellent driving record
- CDL driver's license required
- Ability to pass a preemployment and random drug and alcohol test and medical examination
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year of bus driving experience
