Description

Are you looking for a place to exercise your athletic ability? The AYCC is looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys working with youth to be our NinjAdventure Zone Coach. Our NinjAdventure Zone includes an indoor play structure, a climbing wall, and our Ninja obstacle course. A coach's shift would look like instructing youth as they use the Ninja course and the climbing wall, and ensuring patrons are safe.

Our fearless NinjAdventure Zone team is led by Jesse "Flex" LaBreck, Champion of American Ninja Warrior! Test your athletic ability and inspire the next generation with your skills as our NinjAdventure Coach!

Position Summary

Create, lead and instruct participants in our Ninja training programs. Create a positive and supportive training environment while motivating and challenging participants to reach their full potential. This program is meant to be informative and educational. A curriculum will be provided by the NinjAdventure Zone Manager, and the Coaches will execute the lessons.

Essential Functions

• Ensure the safety of all patrons & and members; remedy all unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
• Educate and inform participants on basic climbing procedures, maneuvers, and safety.
• Help participants develop proper skills related to climbing, hanging and moving through the course.
• Support participants to succeed in the program.
• Demonstrate and instruct proper spotting techniques.
• Implement Ninja programs for individuals and groups of all ages and fitness levels.
• Inspect, issue, and maintain course equipment; document unsafe equipment and remove it from the inventory to be repaired or replaced.
• Motivate and inspire participants to set and achieve fitness goals.
• Provide first aid in emergency situations.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• HS diploma or equivalent or working towards one.
• Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.
• Ninja Coach Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment care and maintenance.
  
  

Experience

• 1-2 years of similar training/coaching experience preferred.
• Strong background in obstacle course training.
  
  

Work Schedule

• Part-time at 4 hours per week, hours vary and may include nights and/or weekends.

Salary Description

$16.00-$18.00 per hour
