Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management & Compliance
- Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, service quality, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Work within the Alfred State College framework to align operations with institutional policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement while maintaining cost controls.
- Ensure smooth restaurant operations during peak hours while balancing the needs of students, faculty, and local patrons.
- Leadership & Staff Development
- Recruit, train, and manage a team that includes both professional staff and student employees.
- Create an inclusive and collaborative work environment that values learning and mentorship.
- Develop staff schedules that accommodate student workers and lab-based learning experiences.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive team culture.
- Student Engagement & Learning Experience
- Work closely with Alfred State faculty to integrate hands-on learning opportunities for students in academic programs.
