The Coordinator of Residential Services is a live-off position that helps support the operational functions of the residence halls with supervisory responsibilities for 1-2 support staff and 10-14 Student position. The position works closely with the Director of College Housing to develop and implement efficient operational practices and strategic priorities that intentionally focus on communication, programming and supporting residential student retention.
The Coordinator of Residential Services is responsible for establishing and implementing short and long-range housing goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures. The position monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness and enacts changes for continuous improvement. This position will make use of various software platforms to support student success (e.g., eRezLife, Banner, Maxient).
This position fosters collaborative partnerships with faculty, staff, and College partners, ensuring best practices in residential Life, housing operations, and efforts that support students' academic, social, and professional success.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
College Housing:
Manage day-to-day operations of the College's comprehensive housing program.
Support and train professional and student Residential Staff.
Intervene in any crisis that arises on campus. This includes an appropriate response to these crises consistent with established department and college procedures.
Process Purchase Orders, on-line payments; certifies Procurement Card. Compares expenditures with SMRT system. Update/maintain spreadsheet Department Budget spreadsheets for the Director.
Maintains vendor and professional membership information and correspondences.
Supervision of Housing Assistants through weekly team meetings to address housing needs (work orders, vandalism response, communication, etc?) in each residential facility.
Transportation:
Oversee student transportation including payroll and supervision of the transport team, and in conjunction with student engagement and health and wellness services.
Coordinate club and organizational transportation in conjunction with the Office of Student Engagement
Coordinate break transportation not limited to working with outside venders, ACES, and the transport team to make arrangement for group and individual travel as outlined by the Colleges rules and policies.
Other:
Actively participate in the College and Department recruitment efforts
Assist with research and evaluation projects
Participate as needed at New Student Orientation, Admissions events, including, but not limited to: open house events and Accepted Students Days.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Knowledge and experience with student development programming.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of housing and other technology solutions software (e.g, Maxient, eRezLife).
Ability to serve as a role model and mentor for students and staff.
Good interpersonal skills.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of three years of professional experience in residential life and housing is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
