Nature & Scope The Fire Sprinkler Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of fire sprinkler systems in various settings, such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities.
This position involves inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure they operate effectively in case of fire emergencies.
Essential functions Inspection and Testing : Conduct routine inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
Perform functional tests of sprinkler heads, alarms, pumps, and other system components to verify proper operation.
Maintenance and Repairs : Maintain and repair fire sprinkler system components, including pipes, valves, fittings, and control panels.
Replace faulty or damaged sprinkler heads, pipes, and related equipment as needed.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Documentation : Maintain detailed records of inspection, testing, and maintenance activities.
Generate inspection reports and provide documentation to clients and regulatory authorities as required.
Troubleshooting : Identify and diagnose problems or malfunctions in fire sprinkler systems.
Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve issues promptly.
