Senior Quantitative Researcher - Equities (High-Frequency)
A leading trading firm is in search of a seasoned Senior Quantitative Researcher to enhance their Equities team in Chicago. This role will concentrate on high-frequency trading, overseeing the development, implementation, and optimisation of sophisticated trading strategies. You will engage with industry-leading researchers and engineers, driving ongoing enhancements in performance and fostering innovation in quantitative trading.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement innovative trading products and strategies aimed at diversifying portfolios and maximizing risk-adjusted returns.
• Design, execute, and optimise high-frequency algorithmic trading strategies specifically for equities markets.
• Conduct regular evaluations and adjustments of strategies to ensure they meet the demands of changing market dynamics and operational goals.
• Collaborate closely with top-tier quantitative researchers and engineers to refine existing strategies and uncover new trading prospects.
Qualifications:
• Advanced degrees (Master's/PhD) in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in alpha generation and the creation of high-performing signals within equities markets.
• Solid experience in quantitative trading, particularly with high-frequency equities strategies or analogous asset classes.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C , or Java.
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning methodologies and tools, with a specific focus on their application in strategy creation and optimization.
