Vice President, Revenue Management- (Based in Houston, TX)

Job Description:

The Vice President of Revenue Management position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations. This position oversees ALH’s portfolio of 10 hotels across multiple brands, in revenue management and leads its team, optimizing pricing, positioning, and inventory to maximize guest room revenue and market share. The role also manages forecasting, revenue analysis, and opportunity analysis across hotels. Additionally, it is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for transient, wholesale, and group segments.

Work location is based in Houston, Texas. Remote work options are not available currently.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, and at least 4 years of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

Must have Hilton Revenue Management experience.

 Main Responsibilities:

Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data

  • Reviews data to identify current and potential issues, offering solutions.
  • Analyzes period-end and other system data to detect trends, forecast demand, and identify obstacles to achieving goals.
  • Provides regular updates on transient segments and continuously analyzes booking patterns.
  • Assists with account diagnostics and validates conclusions.
  • Ensures accurate reservation system data.
  • Monitors distribution channels for accuracy in hotel positioning and competitor analysis.
  • Breaks down data to identify key factors and trends.
  • Delivers accurate and timely reports, presentations, etc.
  • Collects information from all relevant sources to support analysis.
  • Submits reports promptly to meet deadlines.
  • Analyzes weekly and monthly STAR data to assess past strategies and identify areas for improvement, adjusting strategies to capture market share.
  • Prepares the annual room revenue budget.

 

 

 

Managing Revenue Management Strategy

  • Provides key insights for market sales strategy development to property leaders.
  • Delivers revenue management expertise and leadership to general managers, property teams, and market sales leaders.
  • Ensures communication and implementation of sales strategies and rate restrictions based on market fluctuations.
  • Supports hotels with pricing and business evaluation recommendations.
  • Aids in developing long-term positioning strategies for all segments (group, transient, catering), aligning with brand and property goals.
  • Recommends improvements to enhance revenue management processes.
  • Ensures operational teams have the necessary information to execute current strategies

 

Building Successful Relationships

  • Communicates brand initiatives and market analysis to hotel team
  • Shares market direction with revenue management, sales, and hotel leaders.
  • Builds and maintains cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages key internal stakeholder relationships and ensures effective communication of results, achievements, and challenges.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provides timely updates to executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information.
  • Maintains accurate records and information in written or electronic form.
  • Collaborates with others to gather necessary information for managing projects, achieving goals, and resolving issues.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in relevant systems, products, and processes.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates through various channels (e.g., phone, email, in-person).
