What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIET TECHNICIAN position at Alhambra Hospital Medical Center?
- Perform nutrition screening, low-risk (re)assessment of patient & implement ongoing care plan
- Interview patient for menu selection & modify menu according to diet order
- Conduct & participate in in-service
- Assist with quality control program and patient survey
- Involve in community program for health promotion of patient population
- Procure & maintain supplies necessary for department - Enteral, Office, etc.
Responsibilities include:
CLINICAL
- Assess nutritional needs : Collect data on a patient food intake and medical history to determine nutrition needs
- Monitor progress : Track patient response to treatment and nutrition changes
- Educate patient : Teach about nutrition & health, especially food-drug interaction
FOOD SERVICE
- Supervise food production : Ensure food is stored, produced, served safely and accurately related to meal tally & portion control standard as well as operate equipment safely & sanitarily
OTHER
