Kitchen Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food handling, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using knives and other kitchen tools.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
• Support catering events by preparing food items according to specified menus and ensuring timely delivery of meals.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food items are handled safely and stored correctly.
• Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and notifying supervisors of low supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and catering operations.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.64 - $12.45 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 30 per week
