Housekeeper

Ali`i Ambulatory Surgery Center is looking for a Housekeeper/Environmental Services Worker to clean and maintain the center.

Duties:

• The job duties included but are not limited to manual work in cleaning and maintaining the ASC and performs heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment which are not easily accessible, and operates heavy industrial type cleaning equipment.
• Must be physically able to perform, efficiently and effectively, the essential duties of the position which require the ability to read without strain printed material the size of typewritten characters, glasses permitted, and the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, or the ability to compensate satisfactorily. Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment (lifts/carry up to 50 lbs.) May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Exposed to laundry, cleaning agents, and chemicals.
• Daily, sometimes multiple times depending on facility use, disinfects and sanitizes areas where there is a high traffic of employees and/or patients.
• Cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors and vacuuming.
• Refill supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels.
• Perform maintenance activities related to cleaning such as ensuring bathrooms are sanitary
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Mopping the floors in cubicles, offices, community rooms, visitation rooms, restrooms, reception and client waiting areas on a daily basis
• Changing the trash liners in all trash cans and disposal of trash bags in the appropriate locations on a daily basis
• Cleaning of facility and/or areas of the facility should be performed as requested and at the end of each business day.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or related custodial work such as sweeping, dusting and cleaning of medical buildings is preferred though not required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
