Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining effective communication between drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation for shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Get new dedicated accounts from major US brokers.
• Utilize transportation management systems, including SyteLine and Transportation Management, to track shipments and manage logistics.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout the delivery process.
• Monitor fleet operations, including vehicle status and performance, using fleet management tools.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for route planning and optimization.
• Handle incoming calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries or concerns related to transportation logistics.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that may arise during transit.

Skills

• Proficiency in transportation management systems such as SyteLine and Oracle Transportation Management is preferred.
• Familiarity with GIS tools for effective route planning is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fleet management principles.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, clients, and team members.
• Ability to manage shipping and receiving processes efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in transportation planning is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.55 - $20.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
