We are seeking a Special Events Sales Manager that will be responsible for negotiating and selling large parties, off-site catering and special events at our 3 NYC locations . The ideal candidate is a result driven individual with experience in sales and Restaurant Hospitality.
Your Role with Us:
- Be a brand ambassador, consistently exposing future guests to our restaurants and building relationships with potential guests.
- Responsible for selling, negotiating, and finalizing pricing for event that is within the agreed upon guidelines; coordinate events and ensure superb event execution from beginning to end.
- Handle guests’ inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information and other questions as they arise.
- Works closely with both the Front of House Managers and Executive Chef to coordinate the events.
- Performs outside and marketing sales calls to sell and prospect repeat and new group catering/sales business as directed by the Director of Special Events.
- Collaborates with the operations team to ensure highest level of service to our special events parties
- Contacts both FOH and BOH daily (written and verbal) to discuss group specifications, arrival, departure, function services, etc.
- Maintains accurate reports and follows up in a timely manner with internal and external requests.
- Work closely with the Director of Special Events to determine yearly budget and sales goals
- Generate new business.
- Establishes, develops and maintains positive business relationships on behalf of Carmine’s and Virgil’s Real BBQ with both new and existing clients.
- Perform off site visits to clients in order to develop and maintain relationships.
We are Looking for Candidates:
- With 2-4 years of in sales environment in a fast-paced and high-volume environment ideally in Banquets/Weddings/large Corporate events.
- Who are energetic, competitive, hardworking, and persistent individuals who brings a strong work ethic and a good sense of responsibility!
- Who will have an easy time acquiring the knowledge of all the items the restaurant and bar have to offer (food, beverages, specials) and its components (décor, room specifications, equipment).
- Who have a proven history of guest service success that clearly showcases and understanding of both guest and sales growth.
- Who are fluent in English
- With open flexibility to work various shifts.
Pay Rate: 60-65k Base Salary Commission.
