The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow our multidisciplinary engineering team—across firmware, mechanical, electrical, test, software, and fluid dynamic disciplines. This team is responsible for new product development (NPD), continuous engineering, and sustaining support across our product portfolio. You’ll drive project execution, mentor engineers, and strengthen the systems and processes that help us move faster and smarter.
What You’ll Do
Lead and Develop the Team
- Mentor and coach engineers across technical domains, fostering growth, autonomy, and accountability.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development.
- Build a healthy, collaborative team culture focused on learning and results.
Drive Project Execution
- Plan and oversee complex, cross-functional development projects from concept through production release.
- Align engineering resources with business priorities and manage trade-offs across competing demands.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and design validation.
Optimize Engineering Processes
- Establish best practices for design reviews, documentation, verification, and change control (ECO).
- Ensure designs meet standards for manufacturability, testability, and field performance.
- Partner with Quality to meet compliance standards (CE, ISO 9001, RoHS, etc.) and drive DFMEA practices.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Work closely with Product Management to translate product vision into executable engineering plans.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to ensure product quality, production readiness, and timely field issue resolution.
- Use Alicat’s vertical integration to accelerate iteration and reduce development risk.
Contribute Strategically
- Participate in product roadmap planning and technology strategy.
- Help identify opportunities for innovation, digital transformation, and platform architecture improvements.
- Guide the team in adopting new tools and methods that increase efficiency and product capability.
What You Bring
- 8 years of engineering experience with 5 years in engineering leadership.
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex electromechanical products.
- Strong technical foundation in multiple areas: embedded systems, mechanical design, electronics, software, fluid dynamics
- Experience with quality systems, design controls, and product compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary : $110,000 - $160,000
