About The Position
The Manager of Student Compliance and Support Services provides oversight of all student compliance-related processes and support services across the continuum of medical education. This management role ensures institutional compliance with pre-matriculation and clinical training requirements by developing and implementing policies, procedures, systems in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards. In addition to overseeing student immunization and training requirements, the Manager supervises the disability accommodations process, manages the excused absence policy, and collaborates with institutional leadership to proactively mitigate the compliance risks. The Manager reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, with a dotted line to the Chief Compliance Officer, and regularly advises senior leadership on compliance trends, risks, and strategic improvements.

The noise level is typically low to moderate. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings, may be necessary to support operational needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate institutional policies and workflows to ensure sustained student compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and institutional resource on student compliance and accommodations, advising executive leadership and participating in institutional policy-making processes.
- Lead cross-functional working groups that include representatives from Admissions, Clinical Education, Compliance, Legal, and IT to ensure a cohesive and efficient student compliance infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership, accreditation bodies, and clinical affiliates.
- Include compliance data as part of institutional reporting for accreditation reviews (e.g., LCME) and recommend continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Assess and manage risk related to non-compliance and proactively propose and implement corrective actions and system improvements.
- Coordinate annual health and safety compliance activities, including vaccinations, TB testing, and background checks as required by clinical partners.
- Oversee third-party vendor relationships and ensure timely execution of all compliance-related student services.
- Supervise and train staff or support personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices in compliance and student support.
- Lead the excused absence process, ensuring that student needs are met in compliance with the student handbook.
- Monitor trends and recommend policy changes to better support student wellbeing while maintaining academic and clinical standards.
- Oversee student disability accommodations by coordinating the accommodations committee, addressing student inquiries and concerns, and ensuring effective implementation.
- Serve as the primary institutional liaison to ensure ADA compliance for students and lead strategic planning for inclusive practices.
- Participate in institutional strategic planning, representing student compliance and support services in broader decision-making forums.
- RN or LPN Nursing Degree, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. BSN), preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience.
- CHC, CCEP or equivalent certification required upon hire or commitment to obtain within 2 years.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, faculty, and clinical partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant compliance software.
