ROLE PRIORITIES
- The Product Development Associate will work alongside Design and corresponding teams to ensure design vision is obtained for product while meeting calendar deadlines
- The Product Development Associate will be responsible of product from prototype stage to aiding in smooth transition to Production stage
RESPONSIBITIES:
- Management of product from prototype to production stage
- Tech pack management
- Product fittings and communication of style updates to cross functioning teams
- Showroom sample & PR sample management.
- Daily vendor correspondence in regards development and deadlines
- Working collaboratively with cross functioning teams such as Merchandising, Design, Fabric and Production to ensure product you are managing is accurate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of product development experience
- Working knowledge of the production cycle from concept through completion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to cross functional teams such as Design, Production, Tech, and Fabric
- Strong communication skills with overseas vendors
- Ability to work collaboratively with design team to ensure creative vision of product is obtained
- Ability to manage workload independently while adhering to tight deadlines
- Apparel construction knowledge
- Familiarity with contemporary fashion aesthetics
- Solution oriented
- Excel proficient
- High attention to detail
$65,000 - $75,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
